About
As the only designer on the Ozone.bg mobile app project, I took on the challenge of building a user-friendly app experience from scratch. Starting with just a few written flow requirements and a handful of competitor examples, I created the entire app flow in high-fidelity design, focusing on keeping things intuitive and easy to navigate. The project ran for about six months, during which I managed each stage of the design process from start to finish, putting together a solid app experience for Ozone’s e-commerce users.
Aside from the design work itself, I was also the main point of contact with the stakeholders, project managers, and the dev team, keeping everyone aligned and making sure the design fit both business needs and technical constraints. A big part of the project was building a new design system from the ground up. This system brought consistency across the app and made the handoff to developers a smoother process, setting the design up for easy future updates and expansion.
Our Clients
Our client for the Ozone.bg project, the company's owner, was highly passionate about creating the best Bulgarian-based e-commerce product. His commitment to delivering a standout user experience in the local market shaped much of our approach, pushing us to prioritize quality and user-centered design at every step. He was deeply involved in the process, offering valuable insights that inspired us to create features uniquely suited to Bulgarian users while meeting global standards. This dedication drove us to craft an app that felt both locally relevant and polished, with a seamless, top-notch user experience.
Challenge
Creating a user-friendly product page for the Ozone.bg mobile app was one of the most challenging parts of the project. With a goal of including all essential features—like product discovery, detailed images, reviews, similar products, and related categories—without overwhelming the user, the page had to balance both depth and simplicity. Drawing inspiration from Amazon’s product page view, I worked to organize all this information intuitively, making it easy for users to navigate through details without losing track of the main product focus.
The mobile format made the challenge even greater, as I had to ensure that each feature was accessible and legible on a smaller screen. It was tricky to layer these sections so that users could dive into more information without feeling lost or overloaded. Iterations were key; I adjusted layouts and spacing multiple times to create a layout that felt fluid, allowing users to explore everything they might need on a single page while keeping the overall design clean and intuitive.
Results
The Ozone.bg mobile app design set up a strong, user-friendly flow that turned our initial ideas into a high-fidelity experience. We built a design system from scratch, laying out everything the app needs to grow smoothly in the future. Now that the design is complete, it’s in the hands of the dev team, who are bringing the app to life as we speak. We’re all excited to see it come together and can’t wait for users to try out an e-commerce app that’s designed to make shopping simple and enjoyable for the Bulgarian market.
